Announcement from the Future Earth Global Secretariat on the 2021 Global Risks Scientists’ Perceptions Report
December 8, 2021
The 2021 Global Risks Scientists’ Perceptions Report (Global Risks Perceptions Report 2021) will be released at midnight on December 14 (Japan time). (Register here for the launch webinar.)
The 2021 Global Risks Scientists’ Perceptions survey was conducted in a collaboration between Future Earth, Sustainability in the Digital Age and the International Science Council (ISC) and was designed to complement the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual Global Risks Report. The survey assesses the likelihood and potential negative impacts of the 35 global risks identified in the 2021 WEF report, as well as their interconnectedness and potential to lead to a global systemic crisis.
From Japan, Dr. Midori Aoyagi of the National Institute for Environmental Studies took part in the survey and report as a scientific advisor.
