A joint project center: Renewable Energy Research and Education Center (REREC) has been newly established, and its kick-off event will be held.

Hokkaido University has authorized the establishment of the Renewable Energy Research and Education Center (REREC*), a joint project center, as of June 1, 2024 (Saturday). REREC will conduct research and development, human resource development, collaboration with related companies, local governments and organizations, and make recommendations, in cooperation with research institutions in Hokkaido, with the aim of making renewable energy, which is increasingly being introduced to rural areas, “positive” for local communities and the environment.
